"Great local Italian restaurant in a lovely, charming setting in the village. We stayed at La Moscadella just outside the village and walked 10 minutes into town for dinner here one night. Locals dine here and the staff and residents are very friendly. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients including beef and boar, pasta, minestrone soup and more."

"Got dropped off as I'm not sure about parking. Beautiful village, restaurant appropriate for the village setting. Food was local style and delicious, and the service was excellent. We were supposed to be on the rooftop terrace, but the weather didn't allow it. However, after the meal, they let us go up, and the view is spectacular. However, the final access is via two very steep stairways and an almost window sized entrance, so be aware may make the rooftop terrace inaccessible to some."

"A hidden gem in a beautiful Tuscan village. Simple ingredients, fantastic flavours, quick service. This is our fifth restaurant meal in Tuscany and the best so far. Also the best service and least expensive."

"We were attending a wedding in a local village and a group of us booked to stay at Locanda di CasalMustia, we all arrived on different days and at different times, i must add, we all arrived at unsociable times too! The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us and our 5 month old boy Jack. The food was fresh and in the local style, they provided a range of wines depending on characteristics and price. The rooms were a good size - ours was big enough for a king size bed and a travel cot to fit. Overall a fantastic stay and a big thank you to Andrea and Sofia for entertaining Jack for us. We will be back!"

"Great place. It does not get any local than this. Full Tuscan experience. Owners are friendly. Great food. Be aware though, there's an extra €10 to use the air conditioner per day."

"How do they do it?! This little place in a tiny village managed to be one of my groups absolute favorite dinners during our week in Tuscany. The setting in Castelmuzio on the piazza is charming, quintessential small town Italy. The servers are great. And the food is excellent quality. We highly recommend their ragu bianco and tender handmade pastas. The pork roast was fantastic, along with the crispy roasted potatoes… all perfectly seasoned. Their homemade desserts are also fabulous. Nothing’s fancy, but it all manages to taste delicious. The house wines are enjoyable (the white was surprising) and a good value. A fun quirk of this location is when the church bells begin to ring at 8 pm… there are three dueling campanile and the ringing goes on and on and on until everyone begins to laugh. A wonderful spot, worth a drive even if you’re staying a few towns over. (Be sure and arrive 30+ minutes early so you can stroll through the tiny village before dinner, and enjoy the views toward Pienza and Santa Anna from up Borgo Salotto."
